I just got a black molly a couple weeks ago and she's been not as active since the day I bought her. A couple days ago I noticed white spots circling around both eyes, and what appears to be white flaky skin around her gills. I've read about the different diseases that these fish are prone to,but I can't seem to find the answer. I feed her the flakes and use the aquarium salt along with drops for the water. Can anybody help me?

sounds like ICK to me. a common problem. ick grows in cooler water. so 1st raise the water temp.a wee bit to about 80 degrees. make sure you take out the charcoal filter. i get these tablets from walmart made by jungle something another. anyway they are usually hanging in the pet dept by the food and other fishy supplies. fallow the direction on the package. it take a couple of days to see some improvement. when you finally put back in the charcoal/ carbon filter be sure to put a new one in. i also use aquaruim salt its good for sick fish and its cheap. good luck
