In my area we have a Community Health Service. Check around to see if there is a place like that where you live. Fees are based on income level. You may possibly qualify for free treatment depending on your circumstances.

Good luck!

Well try a teaching hospital. Most places have programs for people who don't have insurance or any way to pay. You don't need to go untreated just because you are going through a rough patch.
Contact your local branch of the United Way and ask where you can get help.United Way maintains a listing book of all services available in any given area.

The US government has a plan to help people with low income receive the medical treatment and medications they need.
In most of the states the program is called Medicaid
In California it is called Medi-Cal.

To apply for Medicaid, contact your Department of Human / Social Services and they will tell you what you will need to bring with you when you apply. (Birth certificates, pay stub,.......and other documents..) Call before you come, as you may need an appointment.

Where do you live?
I can highly recommend you the clinic where I use to work? It is located in Redlands, CA. and they focus on people that don't have ins. You pay a tiny bit high on your first visit but there after you'd be paying $5 or $10 dollars a visit w/ low cost medication.
Let me know and good luck!

one way would be to ask relatives and friends to help, and the alternative would be to beg on a street corner... I hope you do not have to do that. Good luck anyway if this is the case. Have a quick recovery because everyone knows how costly it is to need healthcare and medication nowadays.

Go to the emergency room they can't turn you down for treatment and they will bill you for the procedures. They may not give you first class treatment but they will help.

Many cities have county owned hospitals where you can get treatment for free or find a free clinic in your area.

Call your local free clinic. They offer limited treatment but they might be able to transfer you to other hospital to get treatment.
