Yes, my mother gave me a hope chest filled with sheet sets, bath towels, blankets, dish towels and lots of other things. Came in handy when I got married.

No, whats the use?
I find it very stupid to give a small girl a hope chest and fill it full of things for when she moves away and basically gets married.
Times have changed.

The "hope" I carry in my chest wolflady, is for the lady I love and have loved for so long, my hope is she loves me also, but, alas I know she doesn't so, my "hope " chest is empty and my heart empty. the hope chest is empty also, like my heart.

Yep, I definitely had one...I didn't want for anything when I moved out on my own. It is wise to do so. OMG, this many people don't know what one is? My gosh, I must be ancient or something...LOL!

I never had one but my sister did. She did not use many of the things in it. Most were outdated and she is not sentimental.

I never did, but one of my best-friends in high school did. She was half-Ukrainian / half-Mexican, so she had a lot of beautiful things in it.
