Both schools have 5 national championships, Nebraska during the 90's won 3 out of 4, one of the best runs in college history, Miami has been consistantly good since the late 90's (except for last year). If you go way back to the 70's Nebraska was better then as well, in the 80's both teams were good, but neither was the best. I think that they both are trying to rebuild and return to their glory, but Miami will have an easier time doing so. This sucks since I'm a huge huskers fan.

Of course Miami will have an easier time recruiting than Nebraska with all that talent in their "back yard", but Nebraska is doing OK. Over the past 4 years, Miami has averaged about 9th in the country in recruiting (according to Rivals.com), while Nebraska has averaged about 13th. They have had some success recruiting California, Texas, and Arizona although they must compete with the likes of USC and Texas for recruits. They are no longer all that predictable on offense since they've gone to the West Coast Offense. They will be turning out more NFL players in the future because the WCO will allow them to recruit more of the types of athletes the NFL is looking for. Hate the Huskers all you like, but has your team sold out 282 regular season home games in a row? Didn't think so! GO BIG RED!

I assume that what this question is really asking is which team is the greatest of all time, the 1994 Huskers or the 2001 Hurricanes? Well, while they were both no doubt in the top five college teams of all time, and I'm willing to bet that both of them could beat one or two NFL teams on their day, '94 Nebraska is pretty clearly the greatest college football team of all time. Basically, Nebraska just dominated more on both sides of the ball, and with a tougher schedule, they dominated their opponents more than Miami did.

lol come on, 2001 hurricanes are considered in the top 10 college football teams of all time Najeh Davenport Ken Dorsey Antrel Rolle Andre Johnson Willis McGahee Sean Taylor Clinton Portis Frank Gore Jonathan Vilma Kellen Winslow Jeremy Shockey etc believe it or not the best college football team of all time is the 1971 cornhuskers The team averaged more than 39 points a game on offense, and surrendered only 8.2 points a game. Led by kick and punt returner par excellence Johnny Rodgers (who won the 1972 Heisman), the top-ranked Cornhuskers defeated No. 2 Oklahoma 35-31 on Thanksgiving Day, in what some have called the "Game of the Century." They rounded out their 13-0 season with a 38-6 drubbing of Alabama in the Orange Bowl.

Miami!!! The NFL player making factory. Since 2003... Miami, 15 first rounders drafted (6 in "04" alone. Thats amazing!!!) ... Nebraska, 2. Need we say more. I could have looked back farther but it was getting embarrassing for the Huskers.

Miami sweeps it, last 2o years they have had the best talent and national championships nebraska had a few good years in the 90s wini some national chmpionships but besides that theiv only won like 30 years ago even i dont know how long ago but they used to be good. they just can keep up with the canes sucess in the more modern game. Their recruiting isnt where the canes is, the canes recruit speed and a raw talent their just about the best recruiters in the nation usc just oveloeads and wastes scholarships bringin every1 from the same position in.

Nebraska by far! They have a much longer tradition of great football teams. And they run a clean program! And their players can actually read when they get out of school. Miami is the worst, cheating, crack-head school in the nation! They should just put barbed-wire around the whole place and call it a day! It is THUG CENTRAL!!!

Miami and Nebraska both lost a lot of talent last year so it comes down to the quarterback matchup Sam Keller VS Kyle Wright Sam Keller has the higher overall.
