I do agree that it is really plain, but it really matters on the statement you want to make. Your back to school outfits should reflect who you are. If you are plain and simple, thats perfect. If your a more colorful person, it would be cool to throw in some fun jewelry, belts, or hair accessories.

plainnn. get like a pair of animal printed flats or flats with a t strap or a strap going across. everyone has or had those simple flats with a little bow on them.

and that plain t shirt... as a first day outfit, maybe a sundress with a cute pair of sandals or wedges. get some funky jewlery on you! a pair of bright earrings. dangly ones are out. big rings, long necklaces with big jewels or small charms hanging off of them! get a nice sweater or maybe like a funky tank!
