Now look people is it true what I have just heard that Feed the Children is a scam to line their own pockets.

85% go to their expenses,If they would stop doing all those commercials,Jet Plane trips,Limo Services the children would be fed.

So you send them 10.00 and they go buy a Banana for the child and they go buy a good steak.

Does this make any sense, don't they need a reform..
Vote for ME and I'll change the way they use this MoNeY..

With our economy as bad as it is right now, I know of a handful of people who have lost their jobs and have begun stripping. They made their rent in 3 days, were able to buy groceries, and have a little extra money to put away in case it didnt work out. There is no shame in doing whatever you need to do to make money. Just be careful, it is an industry that can suck you in. If you stay away from the booze, drugs, men, and focus on just that, you can make it until something better comes along. There is an initial investment to start: most places will prefer you to be tan with no tan lines, trimmed you know where, have hair, nails, make up, etc. neat and tidy at all times. Men pay for the illusion, so you need to make sure you can fit into that illusion. Good luck. I would definately check out any resources that are available around you first, such as employment departments, food banks, churches, etc. before doing this. But sometimes those forms of assistance do not have immediate help and take time. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

If you would prefer to spend the money more wisely, perhaps you could look into volunteering at your local homeless shelter. There you will find children living in poverty in your own neighborhood.
Then you might be willing to give goods and services instead of cash. Maybe you would be interested in joining local church groups collect clothing, blankets, backpacks, jackets, shoes, food, and toilet items to give to the children in the homeless shelter. You might even expand and find them books, toys, and games for them to play to forget for a while about being homeless.
Maybe you could even go so far as volunteering for tutoring them, and helping out at the fundraisers to help prevent hunger and homelessness in your own community.
Then maybe, after all that, the "Feed The Children" commercials won't bug you so much, because you are taking action in helping fight for the cause instead of doing nothing and hating it all...

Feed the Children definitely sounds like a racket.

Similiar to "Save the Children" - whose beautiful offices are located in Westport, Connecticut........

yup i couldnt agree more! i usually wait and save loads of money and my aunt is a volunteer in pakistan, and i tell her to distribute my money directly to the poor folks. She sends me pictures, and receipts so i know she is doing the right thing. she even goes to india and indonesia, so i get tons of receipts back from her. I dont donate to charitable orgs any more because they use the money for extra marketing expenses such as charity dinners (ballroom rentals), cars, computers/cellphones, and i shouldnt have to contribute to the business, but i want to contribute to the charity giving money to the poor directly!!!!!

I've never heard of them before. 85% is pretty big commission. May be I should go work for them.

If they're doing something stupid like that the fed will take them down eventually.

charities to save the third world are all ludicrous. the problems are political. they can only be solved by war. i don't want to die for these people that hate me do you?
