How can you hate A-Rod? The man's talent is immense and after all the trash he's gotten from NY, he's finally won over the crowd over there. And seeing how he has a legitimate chance as going down as one of the best players to ever play the game, you must not have any appreciation of the game.
And btw, yes, he did hit one.
And it is about time the Yankees start making their move. Shelley Duncan will be this year's Melky Cabrera and be an unexpected boost to the lineup. Matsui has gotten hot, Abreu has turned it up as well, which means better protection for A-Rod and even better pitches for him to hit (like he really needs them). And Mo's advice to Vizcaino seems to have really helped, the man has a great ERA since the start of June, and is actually winning games!!!
Plus, the schedule has the Royals next, and the Yankees don't play a team with a winning record until August 10, when they travel to Cleveland, and at that point they have a serious chance to over take them for the Wild Card lead.

They had a good day...so what?? We'll if they should of saved some of those runs for the next series against KC. They might not be the best team in baseball, but if you've been paying attention at all over the last month you'd know that KC hasn't been all that bad and are now tied with the White Sox in the standings. The Yankees would do well not overlook this team that is getting better by the day...

Calm down, Yankee fans, remember that it's the Devil Rays they throttled.... the worst team in baseball over the past ten years. If anything, this may just be the Yanks making up for their embarrassing record against the D-Rays last year.
The fact still remains that the wild card is coming out of the AL Central, the Yankees are the furthest back of any second place team in baseball, and STILL don't have the pitching to get to the College World Series, much less the Professional.

See, it really doesn't matter who you are facing. Putting up 21 runs is putting up 21 runs. How come the Red Sox or the Indians or the Tigers couldn't put up 21 runs against the oh so horrible Devil Rays???

As a Yankee fan, I don't like it when they score too many runs in one game. their offense usually takes the next series off. It better not happen this time, or I'll be pissed.

spence is an idiot. if a rod wanted to play for the redsox he already could have. he wants to enjoy post season, and the redsox are not going to rid of lowell. genius and the red sox wont pay him the money.

i was amazed because the day before they scored i think 17 runs and today 21 that's show there offense can be good and again the devil rays can pitch for crap but i was happy because they kicked ***
