I have a Dell Latitude C600 laptop with a TSSTcorp TSL462c CDR/DVD Rom Driver... when insert a regular cd, it works, but if put a DVD movie cd the light just blinks but it doesn't display anything just like it wasn't able to read the DVD cd. I tried other DVDs and I still get the same. There's an error message saying "a disk with unsupported format". What do I need to do?

clear the autoplay settings for your drive it will work then. Sometimes you'll need to shut it down as well.

I've seen a two computers with this problem. One of them was a Dell, but I can't remember the model. Try to reboot or try a different DVD. You can try cleaning it also with a special DVD drive cleaning kit (you just stick in a special disk with a little soft cleaning brush embedded on the disk.

However, you'll probably need to replace the drive.

I just had this happen with my dell desktop... They had to come out and replace the dvd/cd rw drive..... When did you get your laptop? If you've had it less than a year you should be able to fix it ( it should still have the warranty).. go to this site and look through the troubleshooting and find the number to call them.. they can go online and go into your computer with you on the phone... you can see everything they look at on your comp.. if they can't fix it then they will send a technician to replace or repair whatever it is that is messed up..
