if i've got programs like photoshop that are under someone else's name, and they're illegal copies of programs, should i be concerned about sending my computer in? should i delete those before sending it in to the company?

actually with this new pirated software rewards going on they probably will. I would remove the illegals then send it in.

normally they don't tell on you I know that microsoft tried a tattle tale system awhile back but hardly anyone reported it.
I repair comps all the ime with copied stuff, and all the repair shops I have worked in do the same they may try to sell you original software of course and you need to be prepared that they blame you software on errors or viruses etc

Depends on the company , and the policy. Simple : Don't Pirate Software. If your a student , there are cheap student prices.

They could not care less what you have on your computer. All they want to do is get the thing fixed so they can take your money and get on to the next job..

no,because u don`t use ur computer on a company...i mean the soft u got there is for ur own use....u don`t make money with it.....that`s first....
and second,is that the place where u fix ur computer is not microsoft or stuff like that so...they don`t care!but if u want them to reinstall ur windows,and it`s illegal,they won`t do it.....u will have to install it ur self...

Well if your really concerned just delete them, but im sure they wont really check for stuff like that, unless your hiding kiddy porn on your pc.
