Of course, some crafts are geared more to boys, and some to girls, but I know that my almost 10 yr old loves to check out this site:
http://www.makingfriends.com/summer_more.htm
Along the top, you can narrow down your search for a craft idea by type of craft, what to make it from, what to make it for (ie: bedroom, backpack, etc), a theme, or a holiday/season. Or, you can just search the entire site for ideas! I know my daughter likes these:
http://www.makingfriends.com/yarn_bugs.htm
http://www.makingfriends.com/summer/tiedye_tee.htm
http://www.makingfriends.com/summer/tape_beach_bag.htm
I also really like the Family Fun site!
http://familyfun.go.com/parties/holiday-seasonal/specialfeature/Age_Groups_9-12/
One fun activity would be to make home-made ice cream in a can:
http://crafts.kaboose.com/ice-cream-in-a-can-or-kick-the-can.html
I hope these give you a good start ~ I know I have some new ideas for the week!
