We are really close and she has asked me not to say anything, but she is six months along and still hasn't said anything. She keeps telling me she will, but hasn't. I talk to my parents on a regular basis and its going be really awkward when it all comes out. My husband and her friends say I should just spill the beans, but I am just worried about her. Also, her boyfried is not well liked. Any opinions? I am really upset about this.

...your parents will find out soon enough

...sounds like everyone is looking to you to do the dirty deed of becoming informant....that's your sister's job and hers alone...if anyone gets mad at you because you knew and said nothing, then it would be wise to tell them it was not your place to "tell"

Uhm... If you're older than you should make sure that the baby is healthy and everything is running along smoothly. I don't think you should tell your parents, I think that it is her job. Plus, you don't want her to hold a grudge for the rest of her life. You should tell her she has to tell her your parents soon.

Regardless of how close you are, it's up to her to make the revelation.

Of course, at six months, if she waits much longer, she won't have to confess. [I suspect that's the course she wants to follow, since she's obviously dragging her feet because she's dreading the "confession".]

But you should not be getting upset about this. It's your sister's problem -- you should not be feeling any burden about this.

Her problem, let her deal with it.

If she's old enough to have sex, she's old enough to deal with the reprocussions....

And yeah, I'm tipping ya folks probably know anyway and are too polite to say anything.

just calmly tell her that she needs to tell them or you will... that you dont want to have to tell them for her... but it does need to come out before she goes into labor... and if she keeps it or gives it up for adoption... they will eventually find out... and they will be extremely hurt that she didnt confide in them
