ok im writing a paper about a social problem. I choose depression. Now what perspective would fall in lines with this. like which one could i use to describe it because functionalist, conflict, and interactionist doesn't seem to fit.

look at Marxism and Feminism, they should have some good ideas on depression.

Depression is a medical problem, that there is medication for. I knew someone, who was on medication for depression. Having depression can give a person low confidence, and is a ironic feeling. Many americans suffer from this problem.

It's definetley worth looking into Seabrook or David Karp, as they have done some extensive research on depression, in particular teenage depression.
