if so, how can this be done? is it going to affect her physically, as in pain? how much does it cost? do you have to go to a hospital? How far along can the pregnancy be before its too late to get an abortion? at what time during the pregnancy does it become a serious operation as opposed to taking a pill or something?

Yes, abortion is still legal at 6 weeks. She'd have to have an ultrasound done to determine exactly how far along she was, as it's illegal to do it after certain points...and it's at an abortion clinic, as that's the only place to get an abortion. Obviously. She'll most likely have a vaccuum abortion (IF SHE CHOOSES) which is when the fetus is ripped apart, because the whole thing is too big to fit through the vaccuum tube, and sucked piece by piece out of her body. She'll likely be on anesthesia during the procedure, but some cramping is to be expected afterwards. It's at least $450. It depends where you are on when it's too late...some places won't abort after 12 weeks, some not after 16, some not after 24 (which is just SICK if you ask me...24 weeks is undeniably a baby, I don't care what anybody says). And perhaps SHE, and not ADAM, should consider not only the physical pain but also the emotional pain and guilt that 90% of abortion patients eventually deal with. It's not a decision to be made lightly...or by anyone besides the pregnant woman.

Normally 6 weeks is too early. Depends on your state the limitations. But the longer you wait the more issues involved. Sometimes the babies are partially born (crying and all) and then their brain is vacuumed. Or it can take 2 visits to totally abort the baby. Counselling is a factor as well. Abortion in the most safe of physical conditions has an ETERNAL mental and emotional effect. Unless you are just numb and selfish to all elements of life.

you can get an abortion up to 24 weeks...however the provedure becomes more and more complicated as the pregnancy progresses...as far as the pain goes...Ive heard some people being up while it was done and it being painful and some people going to sleep (meaning under anesthesia) all depends on the clinic and where you go...if your six weeks now, i assume the cost would be like 400 and up but thats just an estimation...if you do go through with this please make sure you dont go to any backyard clinics...im sorry you have to be in this perdicament, and you are in my prayers, I hope you choose life instead of abortion eventually though...

Oh man. Legally, it is 12 weeks in most states. The procedure is made as pain free as possible for the mother, and I don't want to preach here, but we really have no idea how painful it is for the unborn child.. Please consider all your options before leaning toward abortion, and please look at the links provided by the above poster - it will show what a baby looks like at the stage your girlfriend is currently at.

There are lots and lots of loving couples that would love to adopt your baby, and many times are even willing to pay the prenatal and birth expenses.

Check out the above links before you make that decision. Believe me, I've been there and it's something you can NEVER take back. If I knew then what I knew now I would never have put myself or my unborn baby through that. It is hard to get over and honestly I don't think you ever really do "get over it". It is something you will always remember. I still haven't forgiven myself for doing it and one day I will be judged. Just think it through, it's a HUGE decision to make. You may not regret it until you actually have a child later in life.. but one day you will think back and wish you could turn back time. Good luck in your decision.

if she already pregnant then she can't take the pill anymore. yes i have heard that it is painful. i know a girl who had one a couple of years ago and i think it cost her about $500 but she wishes she never would have done it and regrets it everyday of her life. the longer you wait the more serious it gets. good luck.
