SO painful!
If anyone has experienced it or knows much about it, please help.
I wake up not being able to move my hands at ALL, it hurts all up both of my arms all throughout my hands and fingers, I feel like all my muscles have turned to stone.
After about 6 or so hours I'm finally able to move my hands enough to drive if necessary, or pick up the phone.
But my fingers remain numb ALL day.. I haven't been able to grab a spoon or anything in more than a week, I haven't been able to tell if whatever i'm touching is hot or cold.. I've burnt myself several times without even knowing it.
I'm completely miserable!
I neeeeed a remedy!

My doctor just keeps saying, "ohhh it will go away after the baby is born."
Yea, but he doesn't believe in induction and I have many days left (not to mention my baby is going to be HUGE and he won't spare me for that either, ugh)

I need help, I'm going to go insane!!
(And yes... typing is a challenge as well.)
I have to type like a little kid.

I am so sorry for you. Muscular pain is horrible any part of the body during pregnancy but carpel tunnel is the worst as your entire day depends on it.
Reduce the intake of anything gassy (beans, potato, raw vegetables) in your food. Before you take a shower apply warm baby oil or any massage oil over the area and let some warm water run over it or dip your hand in a big bowl.
Wear those splinters that are available in pharmacy stores, they give you good support (esp since pregnant women depend on their arms to sleep on their sides at night.)
Apply bengay and massage whenever you are going to sit down for even 10 minutes.
If you follow this for even 2,3 days you will notice a big difference. Good luck and Godspeed your relief.

Oh my gosh... I seriously thought my doctor was crazy when he told me I had pregnancy induced carpal tunnel!! I guess I wasn't the only one with it... I have had 3 kids and it only happened once.

I wore braces on my hands at night and that seemed to take most of the pain away... though they were always pretty numb. I also started seeing a chiropractor who did wonders for my hands as well.... give it a try... and good luck I know just how bad it hurts....

Oh you poor thing. I had the same thing with my 1st pregnancy and had to wear braces on both arms/hands. It was horrible. I didn't even have enough strength to poor a kettle etc. I tried steriod injections which gave some relief.
After my baby was born it did not go away. As soon as I fell pregnant with my next one (only 6 months later) it went away straight away. I have not had it since.

I am really sorry to hear about what you are going through. This is not a very common problem which are usually faced by the women during the pregnancy.
My suggestion would be to go and see another doctor. Take some other doctor's advice too. You never know maybe you have a sorry doctor. but pls do something abt it asap. You really dont want to have any problems when ur baby is born.
pls see another doctor for the same.

May God bless you.

I had this before pregnancy, and it got much worse during. I found relief with the arm wraps that have magnets in them. Also, see if you can get your insurance to pay for massage. This is a huge relief for carpal tunnel.
