As a person who has worked at both locations, I'd have to say Borders. Barnes and Noble is too full of itself and that attitude has an effect on those who work there. It's why I quit. Who cares if it has a Starbucks? I don't drink coffee and if I did, why would I spend four bucks for it? In the words of Chuck Palahniuk, "You are not your grande latte." Are you here for books or coffee?
Why pay 25 bucks for a B&N membership when other stores offer the same deals for less? Why are they asking for your e-mail when ordering a book?
Oh yeah, B&N is great if you want to bow to their holier than thou heirachiy, but is that really what you want?

BN just because up until recently the closest Borders was about 25 minutes away. Now we have a Borders (used to be Walden Books) at the mall, but it's small so I still usually go to BN.
