You are correct. The (3a-d) does give you 0, and everything multiplied by 0 is also 0.

There must be a mistake somewhere. What are the choices? It might be a sum instead of a difference. Or perhaps a and c are reversed.

In fact, I bet they are reversed. Usually the letters show up in order. That's no guarantee, but it might be worth a shot here. Maybe it's supposed to be:
a(3c-d) =
2(3*4-6) =
2(12-6)=
12

Is that one of the choices?

c(3a-d) = 4(3*2 - 6) = 4(6-6) = 4(0) = 4*0 = 0

The answer is zero. Either you have not written problem correctly or teacher has made a mistake. The answer is 0.

I get 0, too: 4(3a-d)=
4(3x2 - 6)=
4(6-6)= 4(0)=0
Or could it be this way?? Where c=4, a=2,&d=6:
c(3x a-d)
4(3 x 2-6)=4(3 x -4)= 4(-12)=-48

always do parenthasis first!

3 times 2 is 6. 6 minus 6 is 0
0 times 4 or any other number for that matter is 0

You are not following the order of functions correctly. Do parentheses first then the rest. That part you got right. Then you follow the order of operation add first then subtract then multiply then divide. That's where you got confused. 2 - 6 is negative 4 then you multiply that by 3 getting negative 12 and finally now that the entire parentheses is solved multiply by 4 to get negative 48.

4(3 x 2-6)
4(3 x -4)
4(-12)
-48
Hope that is one of your choices.

I don't know how someone rated this badly I am the only one who is doing this problem correctly. Oh well I geuss my 99 % A in My recent college alegebra and the 105 I got on the final are wrong.

Yeah, the answer is zero unless you wrote the problem down wrong. The placement of the parenthesis can change the answer.
