I have several credit cards but no debt, I pay them off when the bill arrives, I'm not giving the company all that money in interest.

I did, but we paid it off and never got a credit card again...they are evil!!! Credit card companies are predatory, impossible to pay off, unethical and should be stayed away from. They attempt to make there customers pay more and more and more in hidden fees and ridiculous policies like not only having a payment date, but time so that if the payment is received after like 2pm it is "late". They are terrible...stay away if you don't have them and get rid of them asap if you do.

don't have a card, but I doubt I would be in debt if I did..I don't spend too much

Unfortunately, yes. My dog got sick and I had to pay the vet. What else is there to do for a member of your family?
