I Have The Regular Game Of The Sims,and I Was Wondering Does This Game Takes Place Only In The House That They Move In Or Can They Go Somewhere Else ???..

Well for the TS1 series, it included many expansions that allowed going on dates, having parties, going on vacation, going to a Hollywood-like town to become famous and go to Magic Town and learn magic. All you need for TS1 is call a taxi to go these places once you've installed the expansion packs.
For TS2, it includes going to College, a downtown like area to go to dinner, and shopping and it introduced cars where your Sims can drive places instead of calling a taxi. You can also go to other community lots for grocery shoppings, clothes in the neighborhood.

Although most of the "action" will take place on your household lot, your sims can visit various community lots to shop and mingle with random sims. Plus, various expansion packs like Superstar and Makin' Magic add very interesting locales your sims can visit.

With no expansions packs at all, the house is it, you can call others to come over and there is a limited amount of objects and wallpaper you can have, but the more expansion packs you have, the more you can do, Hot Date for downtown dating, Vacation for Holidaying, Unleased for Pet Shops and other shops, Making Magic for Magic town, Superstar for Studio Town, but of course, the more expansions packs you have, the more memory you need to run them.

Basically, the game is limited to the lot you are playing unless you have the expansion packs, Hot Date, Superstar, Vacation, Unleashed, and Makin' Magic. I don't believe that the other expansion packs added downtown areas, Hot Date was the first one to do it.
