Almost nothing. Like the US, Taiwan is saturated with foreign goods especially from China. (See the explaination on the very bottom!)
If you are oversea Taiwanese my suggestion is look at the Taipei Walker and buy something trendy:

For instance, the magazine suggests the reader to buy
525、mis mela’s、Foufou and various artists works.

Of course all the hotest music CD, TV drama, and Movies.

Shopping in Taiwan
By American standards, many of the fashion trends in Taiwan would be viewed as outrageous. They are often bolder and well… less conventional. For a shopaholic like myself, it’s hard for me to shop because I am rather picky with the selection of clothing here. The nice clothes in department stores are rather pricy and the clothes sold outside are less expensive but not in the style that I would want to wear. However, I found myself in awe of the numerous shops at Wu Fen Pu 五分埔 that had clothes that were both affordable and trendy. I recommend going there, especially for females, because there is store after store of clothing worth looking through. If you still feel the prices are a bit high and you know how to bargain, bargaining is always a viable option. I really can’t wait until the next time I go there!
Remember you cannot bring meat produce back to the US. You still can buy tea from there. But most of them are made in China.
If you really desperate and need to buy something unusual before you leave Taiwan. You can buy the National Palace Muesum items. They even have shops in the airport (departure and arrival area of the airports).

Someone suggested Franz Porcelain. They are made in China.
"...with production carefully managed and closely supervised in Mainland China."

Surely, I can buy them over here. Why should I risk of breaking the item?

Hi Packa, I think it depends on how big a hole you're willing to drill through your wallet. If money matters are not a concern, then try Franz Porcelain. Their china is just exquisitely superb, and will never shame anyone's antique mahogany buffet and hutch.
Franz Porcelain was founded in Taiwan, btw, and is currently renowned throughout the world for its fine craftsmanship and exquisite designs. They have stores usually located inside major department stores, such as Shinkong Mitsukoshi. 3rd link below provides a more precise store locator.
