I used hydrogen peroxide.
It's all natural.
I lay down, my wife poured it in, it tickles whilst it fizzles.
After it stops fiizzing, tilt your head into a paper towel.
It'll wash out.
Repeat for the other ear.

I occassionally get this as well. Put two or three drops of vegetable or olive oil in the affected ear with your head tilted to allow the oil to run in.

You do not have to warm the oil, as it will warm to body temperature anyway. Then, put a piece of cotton wool in your ear (not too far in) for a few minutes to take up any surplus oil.

Remove the cotton wool. Repeat all this last thing at night for a few days, and the wax will clear. Basically, wax soaks the oil like a sponge, and enables it to soften and break down.

Now for the gorey bit! VERY carefully, if you have a longish nail on your little finger..... I won't say more but that last bit is definitely optional! Otherwise, it should be possible to get your ears syringed by a duty nurse at your doctor's, and no appointment is necessary for that as far as I know.

Put hot water in a hot water bottle.. then a pillow case over the hot water bottle. Lie with your bad ear on it.. the wax will soften after a while.. you may have to refill it a couple of times and the wax should drain away on it's own.

I used to suffer with earache every christmas ..... nightmare and its soooooo painful. All the best..

ps.. you may have an infection so a visit to the nurse at your surgery would be a good idea? Hope you feel better soon

use ear drops for wax removal first... leave it in for a half hour... THEN use warm water and the special syringe available at any drugstore. The warm water (shot into the ear) will force the wax out and into the bathroom sink. You'll be shocked what comes out!!!!

Pour warm vegtible oil into your ear. The warm oil will soften the wax and it acts as a solvent to disolve it.
RInse with warm water.
