There have been some really good ones here, and also in the general science category. It's just hard to find them among the homework problems.
Someone with a good, serious question will likely try to find the answer themselves, or will at least check to see if it has already been asked and answered here. Then, they won't ask it again. Someone too lazy to do their own homework is also too lazy to look at previous questions and answers.
I'm sure you already know this, so I guess you're asking just because you want to see others agree with you, and you're hoping some lazy people actually read the answers and wise up. I'm happy to help you with the first. Good luck with the second.

Mainly because the mind-boggling questions are being answered by physicist who do this for a living. If someone posted an answer, they'd be out of the job!

All the good, mind-boggling questions in physics have unknown answers! PhD students probably don't look here for answers. First- and second-year students, on the other hand...

Because people are too busy posting questions as to why there are no good questions here.

I'm more interested to know why people *answer* the homework questions. Two points for plagiarism. Woo-hoo!
