For the past couple of years, I have really been interested in the older classic rock, like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, ACDC, and The Who. What are some great current bands that you think I would like?

Im kinda like you, im more of a fan of Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and the rest you mentioned, but newer bands i listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and pretty much anything indie. check ut the bands i like on my profile.

Definitely check out The New Pornographers. Also Wolfmother, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Beirut, Tokyo Police Club, Arcade Fire, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, TV on the Radio, Muse, Modest Mouse, Peter Bjorn & John, Animal Collective, Architecture In Helsinki, Kings of Leon, Radiohead, and The Strokes

I just saw Tool about a month ago. They are more along the progressive lines of older bands like King Crimson, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Gentle Giant.
As well as being musicians, they are artists and put on a heck of a stage show.

Jet, Wolfmother. Those are the only bands I can really think of at the top of my head at the moment that are kinda new, but they have that same classic rock sound. Wolfmother have some Led Zeppelin influences in their songs.

Atreyu is a awsome band i think anyone would like them even if metal isnt really their cup of tea
