Air fresheners only cover up the odor. The smoke gets into the carpet and furniture and becomes stale. Old smoke smell is pretty rotten. The hotels that enforce no smoking in their rooms are doing it as a service to their non-smoking guests and to also extend the life of the room. If smoker keep polluting a room then the hotel will have to change out the furniture and carpet more often. That saves the hotel money.

You may even want to consider not smoking inside your own house unless you plan to have it repainted and replace the carpet before it is sold. A lot of buyers will not consider a house with a "smoker smell". This will cause less buyers and could cause a lower selling value.

The hotel will switch you to a smoking room if you ask. If you smoke in there, they will notice and you'll get a hefty extra cleaning charge. Change rooms or smoke outside.

smoking is ur choice, so you should just suck it up and accept the consequences that come with it. big deal you have to pay a little more for a hotel room, if you don't like it then stop smoking. y should other ppl b subjected to ur extremely unhealthy and rude habit. i say it's rude because since you cannot control the smoke and stench of ur cigarette u are rudely invading other ppls air. quit being a baby, your the one that decided to start smoking so it's ur own fault.

Just ask for a smoking room they will charge you so much more, it will not be worth it ex. carpet cleaning, curtain cleaning and whatever else they can think of.

there is a reason why they have non smoking rooms. a reason like my 8 year old, who has asthma & can't handle second hand smoke, and will have a serious attack or even die. or like my 1 year old who is a baby, and i don't want her lungs poisoned by your habit.
Grow up and smoke outside like an adult. Stop being selfish.

Just fall asleep on the bed with the cigerette in your hand. Please don't leave any ashes as evidence that you were there. LOL
