Ok well i have decided to breed my male and female betta fish. My question is, whenever he sees her he makes himself look big and it kinda looks like he is going to attack her but they cant touch eachother becuase they are in a tank that has a piece of glass in the middle so they have eye contact but not physical contact. Is this normal? Is this his way of dancing around on his nose for her?

That's pretty normal behavior for a male. Before you decide to breed them please read the information on breeding bettas and raising the fry in this website: http://www.bettatalk.com/

There's a lot more involved than just putting the two together without the divider. You need to have a proper set-up for breeding, plus you'll need to have food prepared before the fry arrive.

not all puppy shops are undesirable. chain shops like petsmart and petco suck.. countless family contributors owned aquarium shops carry good bettas. the single that i circulate to for bettas get their bettas from asia.. you will desire to verify out a number of your LFS and spot how their bettas seem.. EDIT: petco honestly does sell some decent looking bettas. it relatively is hard to discover organic looking ones like the guy below confirmed, regardless of the undeniable fact that it is available. you in simple terms would desire to be fortunate and be there the comparable day they have been given shipped to petco. the bettas circulate rapid, and everyday come first serve.. the 1st individual to be certain each and every of the bettas often gets the acceptable looking one. i want i couldve discovered a nil.5 moon pink betta like that.. motives why i mentioned petco sucked became because of the fact theyre terrible at looking after the fish. the fish seems severe high quality and wholesome the 1st 2 days they are there. after 3 or greater days, i see ineffective bettas each and every of the time and the water is so nasty looking. i even observed them placed a a million gallon tank with 6 female bettas interior for reveal! and that a million gal became lined in algae..

Also don't forget that you will need a 10 gallon tank to breed them and a lot of cups for the fry when you have to seperate them
