dr. and he said it would be ok to take pepto, or immodium AD. Well, I have taken pepto as much as I can, I've eaten regularly, made sure I had lots of fluids to keep me hydrated, but I still have diarrhea. Anyone else experience this? and if so, how did you get it to go away? My bum is getting kinda sore LOL.... Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would recommend Immodium if you haven't taken it already...it really works great on that sort of thing...some women experience diarrhea before labor, sort of your body's way of cleaning itself out to prepare for what is to come, but I don't know how long it should last...try the BRAT diet...Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast...thats the diet dr's use on children w/ tummy troubles like that...the starches in those foods should help absorb some of the acids...drink gatorade or pedialyte to make sure you don't get dehydrated, as well as water, of course...I hope it goes away soon!!! good luck!

For some reason, the only thing that worked for me when I was pregnant was Mylanta, particularly the mint flavor.I know it's geared more towards indigestion, but it really helps with diarrhea too. Feel better soon!

Call your doctor and let them know you are still feeling this discomfort. There's got to be a reason behind this. Until they are able to control this, try eating more calcium like cheese. Cheese has a tendency to thicken your bowels up. I hope you are to getting It under control soon. Good Luck and congrats on your new baby!!

I would try the Imodium AD instead...it works alot faster. Other than that, it sounds like you're doing everything right. I think your diarrhea is a seperate issue from your pregnancy.

You need to call your Ob/gyn again and tell him that your diarrhea has continued and it has become very bothersome...he should be able to prescribe you something to help your "bottom". It is not good to get dehydrated during pregnacy, it can lead to premature labor (that is what happened with me).

call the doctor again and explain what is going on..it could be nothing and then again it could get serious for you if you get dehydrated..which would in turn hurt the baby...so CALL THE DOCTOR AGAIN!!!
