It works WONDERS with teenagers. Just thought I'd pass that on to any of you who hadn't caught on yet...

I have used a variety of this; it's where you wait till they get out of the car at school and then roll down the window and yell " LOVE YOU PUNKIN!" like you said it works wonders!!!

I"ve done it all, from overly enthusiastic PDA, to whispering in a menacing tone "that's your REAL mommy" whilst pointing to the nastiest woman I could find, preferably one who left her teeth at home.
Usually I just prefer to leave them in the car with the window ajar juuuuuuust a bit.

I threaten to hold their hands and start skipping next to them. I have no problems embarassing myself, especially if they are really misbehaving. All I have to do is reach out to ward my son and he starightens up, says "Sorry dad" and is on better behaviour. It really works if you start up in front of a group of girls (for him at least).

I used to be the bench coach for a pee wee league..i threatened everyone of those boys with it...it's fabulous :)

My kids aren't teens yet... still a few years to go... I threaten my daughter with "I am gonna send you to a foster home" that works pretty good....
I will keep your suggestion in mind though thanks.....
