Generally sinus infections won't go away by themselves. That's why they are called infections. Try asking your doc for a different anti biotic and tell him outright that your stomach couldn't handle the ones he gave you before. There are many types of anti biotics on the market now. There has to be something that will agree with you.
This remedy might help with the pain and ease the congestion too. Take a wash cloth and wet it with hot water. Make the water as hot as you can stand it. Place the cloth on your face and let it stay until the cloth cools off. Keep doing this for a while. Do this a few times a day until you feel better. It will help ease the pain and pressure and will also help the sinuses to drain a little. I use this remedy when I get a sinus infection. It works very well.
I would also recommend to you that you get in touch with your doctor again. He can give you a different anti biotic. Don't put it off, this is something that won't go away on it's own.
Hope this helps, hope you feel better soon.

I currently have a sinus infection that I have had for the last 10 months. The do not clear up on their own. Try drinkign a lot of water, and also hot and cold compress, hot for 3 minuts on your sinus and then cold for thirty seconds. Taking a hot shower helps, as well as steaming your bathroom and staying inside for 15min. The only thing that I can truely suggest, although probably not wanted, is operation to surgically open up your sinuses, if the antibiotics really didn't work, this is the only TRUE sollution to clearing up your problem.

NO sinus infections usually will not clear on their own as the sinus passages are all blocked and builds pressure and that's why the pain,Their are some nasal sprays that help clear the blockage and some people have had to have surgery to fix sinus.
The other thing is not to sniff up but to blow your nose ,the antibiotics you had check to see if they had any gluten or wheat in them as you could be wheat intolerant thus the stomach pains. You may have to look at other brands but see your doctor to check

Not they do not clear up on their own. If the antibiotics gave you stomach pains you should have IMMEDIATELY called the doc and let him know you were having side effects from the meds. The doc is NOT A MIND READER and had NO CLUE the meds were causing side effects for you. Yes you need to go back to see a doc and get a DIFFERENT ANTIBIOTIC. You can probably just call your doc in the morning and let him know what happened and he will call a script in to the pharmacy for you. Next time you have problems with a med it is UP TO YOU TO LET YOUR DOCTOR KNOW. He is not a mind reader so you have to be the one to call and tell him you are having a problem with a med he prescribed.

The best thing is to try different antibiotics or take them and eat yogurt with them. The yogurt wil regenerate the bacteria in your stomach so the antibiotics don't kill them all and burn you.
Try the Motrin and everything but it can be torturous taking away the pain temporarily and not fixing the issue.

My Dear,
I have to agree with Mr. Fluke. Yes, you need to - not just "see" your Doctor but talk to them.
I am a fellow sufferer and the first time around I had the same feelings about the medication as you. I do believe you talking about EES/Erythromycin that stuff made me sicker than a dog. BUT it is the best for treatment but not the only treatment. Engage your doctor in conversation and tell him that it is making you sick and you need something else. Each time you start ABTs and don't finish them it makes it harder to cure the problem. Tell the doc that you want to be finished with sinus infections for good. I did and I haven't had an infection is years.
Good luck and best wishes ...

I've been there. I stopped taking the pills because, like you said they made me feel worse. The infection did go away and I was fine. However, the best thing to do is.....get a different antibiotic.
