colorado labor laws and being in school need help asap?

okay so my qestion is a little strange but need really good answers on this. put in a request at work for a day off because of school reasoning. I needed the day off of work for school orentation. My boss did not give me the day off and said deal with it. what i need to know is if theres anyways that this falls into the colorado labor laws thats say as long as i give a two week notice and that its for school i can not get into troble for not showng up for my shift? please help need answers fast!!!!!

There are some people who work at same time, to help pay for advanced schooling, but they need to manage their hours so the work not interfere with the schooling, and time at school not interfere with the work.

This means we have to be selective in both the classes we take, and the jobs we work, so as to avoid conflicts.

Child labor laws apply to people who are sufficiently young that they are not yet able to do a full work day, and are expected to finish secondary schooling before full adult work begins.

Only if you are under 18 or enrolled in high school. Otherwise, you have no rights to have that day off for educational purposes. Quite frankly, I suggest you ditch your job and get a better one. You can make a lot more money and have a much better job. I guarantee that is true.
