Yes, in the bags if the microwave is different than the one I use at home... I hate the variations in those things... Once though when I was about 8 I was trying to pop kernels that didn't pop in a Tupperware bowl in the microwave. The kernels didn't pop but the bowl melted and I got scared. Do you think I told my mom? No, I took the bowl and buried it best I could in the backyard. As far as I know she never found out... at least she never confronted me about it.... That is my best burnt popcorn story... =)

Have I ever NOT burnt popcorn in the microwave?

Yeah it was a mini bag and I hit the popcorn button on the microwave. It came out charred and smoking and I had to throw it in the snow. This all took place when I was six so don't judge me by this stupidity.

If nails on a chalkboard were a smell, it would be burnt popcorn.

Burnt popcorn is the odiferous equivalent of the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima.

Burn popcorn is evil.

Oh yes, several times, although never as bad as my dad did, lets just say there wasn't much left of the bag or the popcorn and the smell lasted for weeks.

Yeah, it seems I've heard something about not leaving it in there until the fire alarm sounds being a good approach.

How come they don't make burnt popcorn candles?

I've burnt it in the microwave. One time I was doing some on the stove top in a pan ( yes that was possible once upon a time!!!)!!!!!!! and it caught fire when I got distracted and left it alone. The kitchen suffered minor injuries

Yeah, a couple of days I did. I still ate like half of it because I was going to watch a movie. But I changed my mind on both I didn't watch the movie, or eat all of the popcorn.
