I would like to see the evidence that housekeepers make mega bucks now. Please provide more information.

When I hired a housekeeper for my Hubby's Mom and Dad last year, the going rate was between $10 - $12 an hour. By no stretch of the imagination is that "mega bucks". The minimum wage here in California is now$7.50 and will be going to $8.00 in January.

Hubby makes close to $40 per hour as a manager of Information Services. That is getting close to mega bucks, but his boss makes twice that.

I already am a housekeeper, and I'm not getting paid. In fact, my hubby and I are paying our progeny to keep their heads above water. Nobody helps us with housework or yardwork. They take, but they don't give. No, that's not true. One daughter does give help as much as she is able.

Hon, I am 58 years old and I am retired from housework! My intended can do the housework for me, I prefer doing what I do best and that is making the money for the household!
