Use the OEM links from www.bikebandit.com

Here's the link for the coils wireing harness:

http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/oem_schematic_view~schem_dept_id~2335307~section_dept_id~1~section_dept_name~OEM+%28Stock%29+Parts~dept_type_id~2~model_dept_year~1982~model_dept_mfr~Honda~model_dept_id~2335250~model_dept_name~CX500C.asp

For more details, you'll need someone with the service manual. Not sure if you'll find that on the web or the old mircofiche. A guy that I work with has the same bike, most of the problems that he's had with starting and running has been in the carbs. If your getting a good spark, you might want to look at the carbs for as the source of the problem.

Could be a failing spark unit.
Common problem.
Switch them around to see if the problem switches to the other spark plug.
