I'm with you Babe ... In my opinion it was too bad Barbara Bush was pro life. She could have spared us her son. Counting the days until he is gone ... Pax - C

An unborn child cannot make the choice to put itself at risk of death the way a soldier does.
Do not blame the president for the dying americans in iraq- blame the soldiers. This is extremely insensitive and goes against the whole "support our troops" p.c. However, when a person signs up for the military they are signing certain freedoms away for a time and they (should) fully realize that they have committed to putting their lives on the line for whatever crackpot is in office.
If people stopped volunteering, this war would end but quick. A draft would begin and as soon as these ultra rich high society quacks had to start dealing with their own boys and girls coming home in body bags the college protests would begin and the war would come to a disapointing end.
If you are joining the military for any reason other than to serve the president then you are a fool and making a big mistake. What is a soldier- it is a person who fights in a war. What happends to soldiers in wars- They get killed.
Also, the iraq bush problem has no connection to the abortion debate. The abortion problem was here before bush and iraq and it will be here after bush and iraq.
If you found out you were pregnant and you felt to have the baby would be somehow wrong or bad would you abort it?
I assume the answer is yes. Would you be able to arrive at this decision and carry out your choice without any feelings of guilt or regret? I doubt it. It was, anyway- your choice.
Now what if you had a son who turned eighteen and told you he was joining the army. Would you try to stop him? He would be a grown adult at that point and if he decided to go against your wishes he absolutely could. I already mentioned that a soldier knows what he is getting into- it is his choice.
See the diff? Your choice/his choice? If you are a pro-lifer this is how you look at it. If you are a pro-choicer this is how you look at it.

It is not a question of more or less. It is also not a position of pro-war, but a position of anti-terrorism. I personally cannot wait for Bush to leave office, but as yet have seen no one whom I would like IN office. It's real easy to make blanket statements like pro-war .... just because pro is the opposite of con, or against, it does not follow that you can assume one who fights a war is pro-war. Generally speaking war is what happens when one side wants something so much that they don't care who they hurt to get it and another side says, hey wait, you can't do that, it's wrong! There are always at least two sides to war. It's like a fight with your Mom. You can't have it if you are the only one there! You are young and idealistic and see things in only black and white. With some age and wisdom you will realize that in between these two extremes there are a million shades of gray. Oh, and PS .... this war is being fought by our country..OUR COUNTRY ... not republicans and secondly, a whole bunch of democrats either voted for Bush or were not responsible citizens and didn't exercise their responsibility to help decide who would be our Commander-In-Chief. Were you one of those?? If you were, you have no right to speak out now. This country needs a whole lot of actively involved players, not a bunch of monday morning quaterbacks standing in judgement. And lay off the swearing ... God's name is not to be taken in vain. Geeez

The population is rising neither rapidly nor out of control, or really even at all. In America and parts of Europe, the birth rate is at replacement level; in Britain and other parts of Europe, the birth rate is below replacement level. In other words people in the Western world are dying either at the same rate as babies are being born, or faster than babies can be born to take their place.
Anyway, the men and women in our armed forces make an informed CHOICE when they join up. They know the potential consequences of joining the military. Yet they choose to join anyway because they want to protect your freedom and mine. I'm not going to pretend Bush hasn't made mistakes, and I'm not saying he's blameless, but our soldiers know they could die for serving our country and still they choose to serve it. We don't value their lives less than the lives of unborn children. The difference is that men and women in the military choose to walk where death might take them, in hopes that their actions might do some good; whereas aborted children are forced to die, because someone has decided that their existence is inconvenient.

We can mold the future of a baby. Unfortunately, we cannot mold that of a society which has chosen to grow beyond our control and become potentially dangerous to us. I'm sad to hear that yet another liberal is so terribly closed minded. I'm an independent, but I do see a lot more pathetic, hateful, close minded thought on the side of the democrats. So please don't perpetuate that standard.

I am pro-abortion, but let's not forget that in an abortion a fetus or embryo is intentionally killed. "Pro-choice" can do all it wants to disguise this fact, but it is true.
Claiming to be pro-choice is rather ludicrous notion when you think about it.
I support your ability to kill anything on or in your body that you don't want there. Personally, I hate this position as I think you can only have an abortion by being irresponsible sexually.
With respect to your comment, killing something in utero is no different than killing someone from another country and on foreign soil. Both are intentional acts of killing a member of our own species.
Conversely, how could someone be pro-choice (killing a fetus) and not be pro-war (killing another)?

I am all for human beings not harming other human beings. Historically, people justify killing by defining their victims as something other than human. To answer your question, such a person would believe a fetus to be a human being while an enemy is not.

Murdering an innocent baby, and soldiers dying for our freedom is a totally different ball game. I'd appreciate if you didn't use the phrase that you did at the end....That is objectionable speech, and we shouldn't have to put up with your childish behavior...Grow up.

Well, if we don't fight for our right to live then let's just all kill ourselves....sound good? You first. You should ask Tinfoil Fez for a catalog. Always protect your children from evil. That's how. I can tell that you are young and immature. You lack wisdom. Give it some time and you will change. Maybe.
