It's kinda funny, if you pay attention. Whenever the critics say that a movie was bad then the movie turns out to be good and if they say that the movie is good the movie turns out to be really sucky.

Critics are usually a bit pompus and look at film as an art form that needs to convey a message. If the movie has a high entertainment value and does not stand on a soap box, then they trash it.
Sorry critics, if I blow 8 bucks on a movie ticket and 4 dollars for a drink... I want to be entertained.

Well, Transformers is an awsome movie. Some of the critics only said that it was bad because it was so intense, and so long! But it's a great movie if you haven't already seen it!

Completely agree. I don't think I've ever liked a movie that the critics loved and they knock my favorites down. So, why listen to them? Listen to your peers.

those people need some help!...... buuuuuut you arent an adult and well, it might have been more apealing to children or teenagers than it would be to adults, they might be kinda angry when they found out that one of their favorite cartoons ended up like that with so much swearing and a LOT of sexual content. I know that you like wrestling riiiiiight, well what if RVD quit wrestling to join a knitting club that would make you kind of angry riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight???

Did you talk to anyone who wasn't a teenager who thinks that plot, acting, and dialogue aren't necessary to a movie, and that they just detract from all the neat CGI special effects?

people like what they like. critics are there so that when you agree with them, you can copy them in later private conversations, thus giving the appearance that you're insightful so that the person or persons you're speaking to will be impressed by you.

Critics look for stuff like plot, plausibility, continuity, intelligence -- unimportant stuff like that. "Regular" people just like it when things get blown up.

i never listen to what the critics say. i listen to my friends opinion . the critics look at it differently than most of us look at it. they are looking at every detail and we are just noting to be entrained.
