I always did have a crush on Maurice Chevalier after that film (well I liked his name!) but I always thought that I would be Hayley Mills one day - oh well!

...as a child, I distinctly remember originally seeing "...Castaways" on the big screen, as well as other stand-out Disney classics, such as "Escape from Witch Mountain" and "Bedknobs and Broomsticks".
However, if I had to pick a particular childhood favorite, which I saw at the theatres, and I haven't seen in ages, is the underwater sci-fi/adventure/fantasy, "Captain Nemo and the Underwater City" (1969); as a child, I was so compelled with the film, that I imagined that in some fantastic way, that the story was real, and that I ever-so wanted to go to that underwater domed city paradise, to live.
...even to this day, there lies a small measure of compelling childhood wonder, that still feels the same...
