Because it's fun. There are some great people on here and they ask some really cool questions. Some are easy and some make you think. 99% of them are great people. Hang out here a while and you'll see!

Because the question vary from serious to weird. It's opinions, queries, suppositions and silliness. Other sites would be all over the asker for being stupid.
