Right after I graduated from high school, I signed up for the military and served 2 consecutive 1 year stints in Iraq and I came back and enrolled myself in Law school, I have 1 year left and I'll be 24 when I'm fully graduated and I hope to take the bar right after I graduate, so if I'm 24 when I pass the bar, will I be too old?

What did they do for those two years. It sounds like to me that you took the high road and the military just something very impressive to your resume. I Think the military is the right choice is you are unsure of what you want to do. Besides, you got to see other countries and get paid for it. Your friends will have to pay a travel agent to see foreign countries. Congrats on Law school. I'm sure that some of those "friends" will be hiring you.

you sound like the luckyest guy i have ever heard of that served in that mess, to be able to come back and resume a normal life sounds great compared to some of the horrors others are enduring. good luck my friend. and no 24 is not too old many people are much older when they decide on a career. and i would like to say to you i support the troops but not the war. thank you sir.

OMG, your friends are JEALOUS! You will have a security clearance and great abs (thanks to boot), your resume will sparkle compared to theirs.

Let's see, you have LIVED life and they have just extended their high school years by going straight into college.

Good work and thank you so so much for serving. Some people can talk the talk but not walk the walk. You are brave and trustworthy, loyal and hard working and needless to say, intelligent.

You should go back in as an officer and retire at 38 with a pension and a Pentagon job...

Good work soldier and welcome back.

I can make the bar. You get a 12 foot long sheet metal. you cut out 3 2'' by 12' strips. Then you weld the 3 strips so that the ends look like an 'I'. There you have it , a bar.

24 is definitely not too old to become a lawyer. You were not wasting your time serving in the military. I'd hate to see this country without it's military. I thank you for serving your country. It's my country too.

Only you can be the one to say if you wasted time or not.

you served your country and that's cool.

Go to law school. University is for all ages!

I'm 20 and most the other students are 17-18....but I don't care...I had things to do before going to college....

You didn't waste ANY of your life! You have invested in your future by doing that time! The GI bill alone will help you pay of school long before many of your friends do, and you already have a good chunk invested towards retirement. You're trackin'! Don't sweat it! Best of luck to you, and THANKS from those of us that don't join just because we don't like the politics involved right now.
