If your PC has only two slots, and both of them are filled, then you should NOT put in the 64 Mb one. The reason is that you probably have two 128mb sticks in your computer already, and you would actually be reducing the amount of RAM you have.

You should:

1. Look up your motherboard model, and find out how much RAM it can even support.
2. Buy a stick of Ram that is MUCH larger than 64 Mb. Your motherboard, if it is old, may not be able to use more than 512 Mb of RAM, but even that would be an improvement. You should the buy either two sticks of 256 Mb RAM, or, if you do not have the money, only one stick, and use one of your 128 sticks in the other slot.

Either way, your 64 Mb stick will not help you in this computer.

Not to give a memory lesson or anything but memory usually comes in units of 64, 128, 256, 512, 1g, 2g. If you have 248mg of ram and you have 2 full slots then you have 2 128's and your video card is using 8mg of your (usual).
Here is the thing. If your computer is freezing every 10 mins then unless one of your sticks has gone bad then adding ram wont fix the problem. But back to answering how to do it.
You remove one of the sticks that is there noting how it is seated in the slot, then add the new stick. Be sure to check to be sure it is compatible.

Then you could only install one of the 64mb RAM sticks (32mb x 2). The difference in performance would hardly be noticeable. At the very least, I suggest getting another 256mb stick.

Chances are that the 2 computers utilize different types of memory. The older computers used SIMMs while the newer ones use SDRAM. They are totally different types of memory and are not compatible. First thing to do is to find out what type of memory your newer computer is using. Then upgrade accordingly.
