By the very definition, meaning requires a Creator. Without God, our lives have no more meaning then rocks on the planet Mars.
All types of behavior which we invent for ourselves are uses, not purposes.
Answerers will tell you uses you can make of your life that might make you feel good or happy. But we're talking about reasons for living and to live for our own happy feelings will never satisfy us.
For me, I would rather seek God (and therefore real meaning and real purpose) even though I am not sure that God even exists.
