nope your hilarious dude you know they mean 27 i 2007 and every year we have a chance to win a ws but being realistic here that not always going to happen i started saying that in the beginning of the year because i taught they were going to have a great year but from the beginning it was not like and know they have to catch up big time to get in the playoffs so i don't think its going to take another 30 years to win a ws maybe this year who knows

As a Red Sox fan, they do scare me. They can get it together and give the Red Sox a race, especially if the Red Sox continue to play .500 ball as they have since Memorial Day. With the gap 7.5 games and with 7 games left between the two teams, it is just too close to gloat, at least for a Red Sox fan. Let's both hope that that Red Sox can hurt the Tribe this week, for both our teams' sake.
BTW, the Yankees next play a team with a winning record on August 10th.

Are you serious? You think David Ortiz slid headfirst, because he was scared of the Yankees...what a riot. Dude, you make Yankee fans look stupid. The reason Ortiz slid head first is because he is a big load and too slow to stretch out a double than most guys. He slid ten feet too early for cripe sakes and we all know he is not the greatest slider in the league! Trust me, in that one second of making a decision, he was not thinking, ohoh, Yanks are beating the AAA Rays by twenty, I better slide headfirst...he was more thinking, oh shiet, my a$$ is grass. Get over yourself and realize, you are 7.5 back and just wasted all those runs and hits on a pathetic club. Guess you are desperate for good times...I'm thinking 27 in 07 as in 27 runs against Tampa the next time you play them...atta boy!! Good job!

I agree about that,
Yankees fans are waiting that Yankees wins the World Series someday this year since 2000. In the 21st century which start at 2001 (I don't remember what date that the 21st century started). Yankees had made to World Series twice times before snapped by Arizona D-Backs and Florida Marlins from won their 27th World Series.
The Yankees has the highest payroll in the league now. They are easily kicked out from the playoff early as lost to Tigers last year.

As usual we agree Georgie. I was going to give the Yankee fans the benefit of the doubt and say 27 championships in 2107.

Fans of the Yankees just assume they are going to win the World Series every year. They're just syaing it this year, because they think it sounds cool because they both have sevens (I mean, last year they weren't saying 27 in '06 because it sounded weird). We can't count the Yankees out yet (okay, sorry, paranoid Red Sox fan), but we can sure as heck pray they keep losing!

I agree. The Yankees have dug themselves into to big of a hole now. Their fans are all proud that they dismantled the Devil Rays, virtually a AAA team. The next few series are against sub .500 teams(Royals,Orioles,White Sox,Royals and then the Blue Jays). Then 5 of their next 6 series are against Boston, Cleveland, Detroit and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of the United States of America. we'll see what happens after that.

Georgie, the Yankees are starting to play a lot better now and 27 in 07 could be a possibility, don't you think? You know Steinbrenner will always do anything it takes to roll a winner, and he is always a buyer and never a seller.

I have to disagree you see, there are over 60 games left and Boston has a 7.5 game lead. Now Boston may say that the Yankees aren't bothering them but why else would David Ortiz put his body in risk sliding head first into first base? Because he knows he has to give it his all and show the whole red sox team they need to or the Yankees will catch up. Boston needs to face it Yankees are comming and will roll into the playoffs and roll by any team in their path. Even your beloved Tigers.
