Not sure what "they" are that you don't want to come apart, but probably the strongest glue that dries or cures clear is a 2-part epoxy glue... the longer it takes to set, the stronger the epoxy usually, so also a "15- minute set" will give a stronger result than a "5 minute set."

Epoxies will glue lots of surfaces, but you should really specify which types of materials you're trying to bond to be sure.

P.S. Gorilla Glue cures yellowish (and swells) --although it WILL glue just about anything, "cement" glue will dry clear but be rigid rather than somewhat flexible, superglue isn't the strongest bond for many materials, hot glue isn't really "strong" at all, and E-6000 won't be as strong as a 2-part epoxy.

I'd say get EPOXY glue or JB WELD. Both are very strong and permenant. EPOXY dries clear and JB drys like a silverish metal color so just choose wisely depending on location. Just follow there directions on the tube as they need to mixed into each other so ones resin and others hardner and need equal amounts. It's easy. Just mix on a piece of card board or something to throw away after your done with the glue. Also prep your areas to be glues with rubber alchol to remove oils and dirt.

If you use a glue gun: buy glue sticks designed for plumbing repairs. They are extremely strong, as well as waterproof. But check the glue stick label: some dry clear and some do not.

Depends on the type of work you are doing you can try the hot glue; buy a glue gun and get the glue sticks, it's pretty good.

You didn't say what you want to glue, but for most crafts, the best glue to use is E6000, it comes in different formulas, and is available at Wal Mart, most craft stores, and Home Depot.
