i know justin timberlake does. im trying to think of who else. and also how important is it that an artist actually plays instruments to be really respected. if someone is a great dancer like say janet jackson or ciara but not a great vocalist, do they lose any credibility or does the dancing make up for it.

That is all I can think of at the moment. Well, actually, I was just going through my itunes and I didn't feel like looking anymore. I'm lazy.
Anyways, in some eyes, including mine, artists who do actually play their own instruments are revered and respected more than others who do not. Their music feels more real and and if it came from their own heart and not from some lyrical manufacturing company. In other's eyes, it doesn't really matter. To them music is music, if they like it then they like it. If they don't well, you get the point.
To me dancing does not make up for a singer's less than mediocre voice. When you are listening to an artist on your ipod, mp3 player, cd player, what have you; you don't literally see them doing their amazing moves. It is there voice and the background music you hear. For me at least, great dance skills does not make someone's music better.

To me, if I am paying big money to see anyone in concert...be it Janet Jackson Britney Spears, or Justin Timberlake, the lack of musical ability as in piano or guitar is minor. I do however think it is a big freaking rip off to charge all that money and have someone do nothing by lip sync. If I want to hear their album I'd stay at home and play it on the stereo. No amount of dancing can make up for the fact that you are ripping off your fans.

Brian McKnight does, so does Pharell. Real "music heads" don't really respect those with no actual music talent, but if you can dance, it's like, at least you can do something. Unlike Cassie. All she did was lip sync and her dancing was horrible.

Britney plays the piano and she was on guitar lessons and she dance and has a great voice if u didnt notice it
