Birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs during the Jurassic period, and the earliest known bird is the Late Jurassic Archaeopteryx.
There is significant evidence that birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs, specifically, that birds are members of Maniraptora, a group of theropods which includes dromaeosaurs and oviraptorids, among others.

Jeez Real Morgan Jones, early dinosaurs preceded birds by 100 million years. If they all came about the same time, why o why did God bury the dinosaurs tens to hundreds of meters deeper than birds?

Was He just trying to fool us all into thinking they were formed much earlier, or was he just having a bit of fun. Either way, he was a tricky little God, wasn’t he?

Oh, heck, I just remembered “God moves in mysterious ways……”

I can’t win that one.

Anyway, scientific evidence is that the dinosaurs and birds are the only vertbrates to have hollow bones. Also, the stance of the two-legged dinosaurs was very similar to birds (modern reptiles have splayed out legs - dinosaurs had legs directly under their bodies).

And as someone pointed out above, Archaeoteryx was a dinosaur with feathers. No other creature has feathers, besides birds and dinosaurs

The BIBLE tells us that the LORD made all creatures, great and small. So a dinosaur didn't suddenly hatch a bird out of an egg, as evolutionists would like you to believe. Instead, the dinosaurs and the birds had a common origin, and that is God.
