Ok, i asked the question early what's the big deal about Michael Vick? And you people just don't get it. Everyone just reads about what Michael Vick has done. Nobody knows for sure! i doubt any of you actually seen him dog fighting, hanging dogs, or anything else to that extent. And even if he did, i don't believe it was anywhere near 60. I don't agree with what he did, but damn. I think everyone is being a little hard him!

My problem with the whole situation is that, if Vick is guilty, where was his smarts when he made the decision to be apart of all this?

It really bothers me that some of these athletes with all of their money choose the wrong things to do with it. I listened to TJ Houshmandzedah on the NFL network when he said that he thought the media and the Cincinnati police were waiting for something to go wrong with a Bengal.

I agree with this, but at the same time I feel these guys need to learn very fast what is appropriate behavior or suffer the consequences.

If I was I in control of an illegal dog fighting operation, do you think I would be all over the news as is Vick? In the beginning yes, then the news will fade until the end of the trial.

Michael Vick is because of who he is will be all over the sport news (and some of it will be unfair). But, he like the others, were not smart and along with the Falcons will be damaged by this.

We all say if we have money what we would do with it. Would you:

Start a dogfighting ring?

Rape a girl?

Allow your entourage to fight uncontrollably?

Carry illegal weapons and narcotics?

Even if these people did not do the acts personally, they allowed themselves to become involved and it's that involvement that makes them liable. Is it always fair? No.

But it is so.

I think everyone has a very short memory when it comes to professional athletes. I wonder if anyone remembers Pete Rose of the Cincinnati Reds Baseball team. He was banned for life and excluded from the Baseball Hall of fame for betting of the game while playing. No one even died or was hurt. What was the difference? The times. We have become so hardened we accept any behavior from these multi-million dollar money makers as long as they keep making money. When do we say enough is enough. I say suspend him with pay till the allegations are proven or not. Then Ban for life if they are. And I don't mean he gets out of it with a high dollar lawyer either. Something has to be more important than just being able to catch a ball or run. I would rather look more to character for a change. Where are the roll models we once looked up to? How much is too much today. What is next a child predator or serial killer as long as they are the best on the field? Evita

What's the big Deal ? Are you serious when asking this Stupid question or what's actually wrong with you.????

We don't get it? You don't get it. He is being Charged Very Serious Felony Charges. We know that for sure. Why do you think that he is being Charged for these Terrible Crimes ? Just for fun?

They have alot of evidence against him and that is no secret or the Charges would not have been Filed against Mike Vick.

This is not a JOKE!

Your right about most of us not seeing him personally but he has been seen or he would not have to face these charges.

Do you know the way this country works as far as inditing a person for felony Charges.?? Obviously not!

As for the Crimes, ( my personal view) I don't believe that God has blessed us with dogs on earth so we can fight them. Do you??

Look animal cruelty is way out of control and when a person of Mike vick's stature, ( or anybody for that matter)in which he gets paid millions of dollars to play football should be a responsible person on and off the field.

People are paying alot of money to see him perform in the world of sports and comaponies endorsing him so at least he could act in public like a Responsible human. Right?

He is showing no respect to the Atlanta Fans that pay this good money that they work very hard for so they can watch him play. So don't say we don't get it. That Is So Stupid .!!!!

Being Charged with Cruelty and Gambling along with the rest of these in-humane Charges is something that Mike Vick will regret when the dust settle's.

You can Take the Player out of the Ghetto, But You Can't take the Ghetto out of the Player.

He should not get to be privialged to play in the NFL.

I along with Millions of People hope he goes to Jail and pays a very big Price for his Thoughtless actions.

There now maybe you will get it. Get some education PLEASE!

Krista if you or I got caught dog-fighting or abusing animals we would both be in jail. If you have 60 dogs in your back yard and you don't know, then you should go to jail for being a dumb-a$$.

I am more pissed off with the Falcon's management for not benching him after all of these lack luster performances. At least Chris Chandler took the dirty birds to the Super Bowl.

The Falcons need a leader behind the Center, not some over-paid, pot-head, animal abuser.

Just be quiet, because you don't know the horrible things that he's done. He's turtered the dogs, he's killed the losing dogs, he's eletricuted them. So just shut up and support somebody like Ladainian Tomlinson who only does good, instead of a Dog Killer ( Mike Vick). Plus, watch Vick go to jail and Joey lead them to the playoffs.

There is so much of these guilty until proven innocent things going around the media right now, its crazy.

I think Vick was involved in the dogfighting, but he wasn't found guilty. The same thing is going on with Bonds in baseball. Duke didn't do anything and their season was cancelled that year and they were found innocent.

All I'm saying is wait until this guy is found guilty before you suspend the guy. What happens when Vick is suspended and they find out he didn't do anything and a year of his career is gone and all of his endorsement deal are gone?

The thing I don't understand why he'd be doing this, how much money is this guy making? He's a starting QB and look at all of the endorsements he has, I don't think he's desperate for money and needs to resort to betting on dogfighting.

The evidence is pretty strong as the police have said and seriously, if he owned the place and he knew dogs were being watered down then electrocuted, then he's a pretty awful person for supplying a space for the activity. Even if he wasnt attending the dog fights its pretty hard to own a place and NOT know whats going on inside it. I look forward to hearing about him rotting away in prison.

Should the indictment lead to convictions on the charges, Vick needs to be removed from society in general, not just the NFL.
The amount of cruelty involved in animal fighting is just insane. It also seems to be something of a "gateway" crime to other more heinous criminal behavior. When you read of serial rapists and killers, often you read of animal cruelty in their past.
One of the great tenets that define us as a society is our protection of the defenseless. Animal fighting is exploitation of the defenseless, and that is just a small portion of what the big deal is.

Wow, "what's the big deal". You need to do some research about the evidence and watch some videos about what goes on at a dog fight. You should see the abuse these dogs endure-it is unfathomable!!! He is GUILTY!!! I think he should be thrown into a pit with his dogs, so they can express their love for their owner. Please, he is a total scumbag. As more info. comes out, I'm sure any reasonable person would agree.
