The UAE is correct on a per capita question but the question of what country is the wealthiest cannot be answered because there are too many ways of determining wealth and wealth is to fluent. Currently, the crashing dollar means we are one of the least wealthiest countries. The question is just too relative to answer unless you just want to measure Strickly the Gross National Product. If that is the case Japan would be considered an extremely wealthy nation except everything is so expensive in Japan that the purchasing power of that wealth is nominal. Look at N.Y.C. as an example. Manattan is one of the wealthiest places in the U.S. but if you make a million dollars a year but can only afford a two bedroom apartment are you wealthy?

USA has national wealth of 84 trillion dollars. Japan is second at 23 trillion. China is third at 21 trillion dollars. National wealth is calculated by subtracting total liabilities from total assets. The UAE is worth 1.4 trillion dollars. Which is decent for a smaller country.

Dubai, the United Arab Emirates: my grandson just came back from there, is going back in a few weeks, on civilian Government contract. Although he makes 125 a year he says he can't afford to live there.

Then you need to move to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Per capita, they are the most wealthy.

Probably the United Arab Emirates, or U.A.E. for short. Their low population vs high export of crude oil allows them to buy anything that the law doesn't forbid! (they could buy any third world country and have it very profitable inside 6 months if they really wanted too...)

USA. I am pretty positive. By the way in this country women are allowed to get rich too, not just the men we marry. Go to school and get an education to be proud of.

Per capita or the nation itself?
Per capita(at purchasing power parity--this is absolutely important when making accurate correlations--don't use statistics that don't take Purchasing Power Parity into account): Luxembourg
