you could go back a bit in the past, and try out some Beatles (Hey Jude, Come Together, Help!) or The Who (My Generation, Pinball Wizard, Baba O'Riley). They're both great bands. I also like a band called Sufjan (soof-yawn) Stevens. He's really good. Try his song Chicago.
