Yeah, and there was no build up for Harry's love of Ginny. It was like all of a sudden J.K. realized she needed to set him up with someone, and hell, it might as well be Ginny because she had a crush on him. He barely knew her, and then BAM! He saw her kissing someone, and he was in love.

No, these matches were fine. Almost inevitable really. Ginny and Harry had a brief relationship in book 6, but Harry broke it off to protect her from his many enemies. So it's not a surprise that they hooked up again after the enemies were gone. As for Ron and Hermione, they'd built that one up gradually over at least the three previous books.
As for Remus and Tonks getting killed off, I think that was a very deliberate point made my Rowling. Their infant daughter was left an orphan. But because of Voldemort being defeated finally, she grew up normal and relatively happy.

i had the exact same reaction, at least for harry+ginny.
jk rowling hinted at the ron and hermione pairing since the third book.. if you read it you will see definite evidence.
harry and ginny, however-- i just dont see it, i feel like jkr felt like harry needed someone and stuffed ginny into the picture in 6, making ginnys 11 year old, school girl crush in CoS seem like something of real substance, which it is not.

i quite liked it. It was soppy, but it was great to see everyone finally getting the happiness they deserve.
I expected Harry and Ginny, because they never stopped loving each other really, did they?? They only split up in the 6th because Harry loved her that much, he didnt want to see her hurt.
And Ron and Hermione, i am so flippin glad!!! That has got to be the longest game of kiss-catch two characters have ever played. Since the 4th they've been gagging for each other.

I was more disappointed that Remus died, to be quite honest. I'm fine with Hermione/Ron, but never liked Ginny/Harry. You should check out some fanfics if you want to see different pairings. Seriously, I've read some good ones.

Noo, i think the matches are kinda perfect.
It gives more of a happy ending, i suppose.
Plus!
I would have been terribly disappointed if Harry didnt marry Ginny.
