What County and City were you born in? You go to the Clerks Office in the County that you were born in and request a certified copy there. OR Contact the Vital Records Department at the State Capitol. You can usually do this on the internet. I live in the State of Michigan, went on my States web site, found the Vital Records Dept., entered the information in that I wanted, entered a payment method, paid and within 10 days I had my certified birth certificates.

It may be at the Washington Hall of Records building or at the City Hall. The hall of records is where people get their birth certificates, death certificates, etc

Write to the County Clerk of the county where you were born, and ask. You will need to pay a fee, and may be asked to provide some other identification.
