My best friends mom is coming over to have dinner with me tonight and she wants to know some questions to ask her daughters new potential boyfriend. Help me compile a list of both realistic and creative questions to ask him. Thanks!

Ohhhh don't do it! Grilling shouldn't be done to potential suitors!

I used to make sure that my daughter's potential suiters knew how old she was (she liked to pass as older), that I used to hunt very bad people (some of whom were members of organizations that were on the State Department's list of Terrorist organizations), that I used to teach unarmed combat, and that both my wife and I were a crack shots (emphasized by working on a firearm at the kitchen table when they arrived). Questions were rarely required. Most had her back well before curfew and never showed up again. The ones who returned were usually decent people.

If she starts that, it will drive him away for sure. No one likes to be "grilled", especially if it's the first time they meet. Tell her to just be careful how personal she gets, or it will turn into a very unpleasant evening. She can ask him where he works.

I know this is an old trick, but my husband cleans his firearms when his sisters potential suitors come over. I know you can't judge a book by its cover, but if he looks like a wreck; he probably is.

How old is he? If he's a student, ask him about his grades, if he's involved in clubs or sports, if he works.
