It depends on the nature or the topic of the argument.
It doesn't even have to be my mum.
When it comes to someone who says something that is a contradiction with facts, and that I can easily prove him wrong, I usually suggest that he/she put money on it.
If my correspond refuse to bet on money, then he/she is a lousy chicken, and doesn't deserve much attention from me in the future.

Express disagreement. We're both adults and to hold back and tacitly approve would be dishonest.

I'd express my disagreement just as long you do it without the attitude and not be rude about it ,just tell her you don't agree and if she asked what you don't agree about it tell her then if she gets mad tell she asked you to explain and you did.
My mom and my mom-inlaw says things all the time I don't always agree I tell them so .

depends on what it is and how your mother reacts to conflict. My mom gets really hurt easily even if what I say is not anything against her so I have to be careful around her what I say because she cries at the drop of a hat. (drives me crazy actually)

Respectfully express your opinion. But, put it in the form of a question--"don't you think . . . ." or "did you consider. . . ." If she over reacts then she is missing a chance to really get to know her daughter.

depends on the cricumstances. If it's something she said no to, then it's best not to argue with her. If it's a general knowledge typ question, then it's ok to give your opinion if it's to correct her with the right answer.
