OMG lol, i read tht book when i was a little kid. where the king has to get an outfit. tht was an awsome book.but most cops are asses so it depends on what they say to u when they first approach u. if they seem friendly then go ahead but if they seem as if they had a bad day then dont even try. also u would want to do it in the beginning of the month because at theend of the month cops who slack off try to meet their qoutas so ya. hoppe tht helped

If I were the cop, I wouldn't be laughing.
There are too many accidents and too many people dying due to no seatbelt to stop them from flying through the window head first.
It is a serious offense.

Then you may have someone who loves the power trip of the "authority role" and will really give you the hardest time they can if you don't respect the law.

I would laugh it off and probably give you a warning....

But a true story... the cops were doing a seal belt check here in my town and this one guy had his belt on but he accidentally put it through the steering wheel... he got a ticket for not wearing his seat belt...

you would get a ticket. We have to obey laws even if we don't like them. The only way to change the ones we don't like is through the political system. You can't change laws by breaking them.

1. Not smart to call an officer of the law a "fool" (which you are doing)
2. You'd get something else tacked on your ticket for sure just for being a
smart ***.

3. I suggest you grow up. Be accountable for your actions.

I'd remain indifferent or get pissed, not sure which. I guess if a girl did that, I'd stay calmer than if a guy said that.

I would try not to crack a smile, and would then tell you, "I'm sorry Ma'am." and not continue speaking with you, just writing the citations as necessary....
